Day 9: Our third day online class begins with Shiney ma'am class. We started our class with a prayer, prayer was pressented by Biji. Parvathy shared  thought on Martin Luther King Jr "If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl , but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward."She also shared meaning of two vocabulary words 'perseverance' and 'prejudice'. Ma'am revised certain points on education for the new students. 

Education is a tripolar system. Ma'am taught us  education is a penta system that is it includes: Learner(student), Teacher, Learning process, Learning experience and Learning environment.

Education we acquire one fourth from teacher, one fourth from own intelligence, one fourth from classmates and one fourth from experience. 

We discussed points on Intellectual and practical functions of science. It was an interactive session. 

At the end of the class ma'am told us to prepare notes on the steps of scientific method. 

Second class was handled by Dr Ancy ma'am. Ma'am revised points for new students that we already learned. Today ma'am discussed the topic: Developmental tasks of a teenager,Developmental hazards and Theories of Development.

We shared many ideas on developmental hazards through google meet chat box. 

We also came through unfamiliar terms like schema, Assimilation, accommodation and equilibration. 

Schema is an organized system of action or thought that allow us to think about the objects and events. 

Assimilation means fitting new information into existing schemas. 

Accommodation means altering existing schemas or create new ones in response to new information. 

Equilibration means act of searching for a balance. 

Ma'am taught us these terms through examples and I understood it thoroughly. 

It was an interactive session. 

Third session class was handled by Dr Maya ma'am. 

Ma'am taught us topics such as Education is a sociological process, meaning of Education, Views and thoughts on Education. 

The sociology of education is the study of how public institutions and individual experiences affect education and it's outcomes. It is mostly concerned with the public schooling systems of modern industrial societies, including the expansion of higher, further,  adult and continuing education. 

In narrow education system, education gathered from institutions like schools and colleges. 

In wider means, it is not limited to institutional level, it is usually obtained from environment and experiences. 

Education is a life long process. It starts from mother's womb to tomb. 





These quotes by great personalities on education were discussed at the class. It was an interesting session.
