ID, EGO, SUPER EGO...

Day 13: Today we again began our offline class. As usual 9 am prayer at college chaappal. Prayer gave refreshment to me.

 First session of class was optional (Shiney ma'am).In the absence of Shiney ma'am,we practiced for Republic Day celebration. Parvathi coordinate the program.

 After the practice, Giby ma'am took the class. Ma'am taught topic on Educational psychology.

Main points discussed were:

•Logo means study( science).

Psyche means soul or spirit. 

•Simply psychology is the science of behavior both overt and covert. 

•Educational psychology is the application of psychology in the field of education( teaching or Learning process). 

Three mental process were described by ma'am by citing many examples. 

These includes:

Id: Immediate impulse

Ego:Intellectual impulse

Super ego:principle of ethical ability.

•Individual with these three personalities are referred as integrated personalities and those with ego and superego are called mature personalities. 

•Ma'am concluded the session by defining two energy levels of a person. It includes constructive(life instinct) and destructive(death instinct). It was an interesting class. 

Afternoon session was handled by Dr Maya ma'am. She shared views on How to teach ?what to teach? Why to teach?  Then ma'am gave us a famous quote by William Arthur Ward "The mediocre teacher tells.. A good teacher explains.. The superior teacher demonstrate.. The great teacher inspires.." 

Then we discuss about different qualities of a teacher.  we discussed A to Z qualities of a teacher. It was an excellent session. 

After Maya ma'am class, Dr Joju sir begins the class  with a silent prayer and he grouped students into certain groups. He then gave us a group discussion topics 'Safe field of technology' and 'Dangers of technology'. The group has a leader, a reporter and a timer. We got the topic  on 'Dangers of Technology'. 

Nine of them in our group shared their own ideas and the reporter wrote the points. On the next day, it's the duty of any member in the group to  share their views on the topic and have to make PowerPoint presentations. 

We all enjoyed the class. 

Last hour, we performed warming up exercise and study the rules of  cocco game.

 It was an interesting game.
