REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION@MTTC

Day 12: Today we celebrated our 

72 nd Republic day at Mar Theophilus Training College. 

At 8:30 am we reached the college. With a silent prayer we begin our Republic day celebration. Dr Joju Sir welcomed all of us. 

In the absence of principal Sir, Dr Giby ma'am host the flag.

 Then ma'am gave message of the day. 

Later, Ma'am shared her concepts on Republic day.

•Ma'am gave the definition of word 'Republic'. Republic is a form of government in which power is held by the people and their elected representatives. 

•Our country celebrates first Republic day on 1950 January 26.

•Of all other countries, India has the largest written Constitution. 

•She also appreciates the great leaders whom worked behind the preparation of Constitution. 

•Ma'am then shared her experience of journey at Delhi. 

•Then shared views on the importance of pledge. 

•Ma'am concludes the message by sharing the quote of Rabindranath Tagore."Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high, where knowledge is free"..... 

After Giby ma'am session, our college chairperson gave an excellent message on Republic day. She gave a quote of Yukay "You Listen to your heart Study and Understand it. Have complete control over your emotions. Make your own decisions and take full responsibility, and above all trust and believe in yourself." She concluded the speech by sharing ideas on fundamental duties and fundamental rights.

Then we conducted pledge. 

After the celebration, we all engaged in quiz competition, conducted by social science.

 So many students received prize in quiz competition. Our classmate Sruthi also received two prize. At the end of celebration, we got sweets and get dispersed.

       I enjoyed the day very much.
