EYE EXERCISES....

Day 29: I eagerly went for our yoga class. First hour we performed eye exercises and also neuromuscular exercises.

 •The main purpose of eye exercise is that it strengthens eye muscles. 

•There is no need of spectacle, if we regularly perform the eye exercises. 

•It reduces eye problems especially redness and iritation. 

Then Maya ma'am took the class. Ma'am taught about another school of philosophy- Realism. 

The points on Realism that we discussed at the class includes:

•Father of Realism-Aristotle

•Realism is a philosophy of common sense. 

•It is a modern philosophy. 

•Objects can exists even without being known at all. 

Then Ancy ma'am took class on Language development. 

Functions of Language

•Communicate ideas

•Formation of concepts

•Analysis of complex ideas etc. 

Vygotsky Theory of Language Development. 

It includes:

•Primitive speech stage

•Native psychological speech stage

•Egocentric speech stage

•In growth speech stage

Then ma'am discussed about Noam Chomsky.

 His theory explains why all babies language development follows a pattern. 

Then Archana ma'am taught us about the term educational psychology and schools of psychology. 

Education psychology is an application of psychology in the field of education. 

Schools of psychology includes: Structuralism, Functionalism, Gestalt school, Humanistic and Existential school of psychology. 

We studied structuralism and functionalism. 

Structuralism( William Wundt) •Structural aspect of mind is taken into consideration. 

Then ma'am shared the ideas on five terms. Sensation, perception, Ideas, Attitude and Feelings. 

 Fuctionalism(William James) •Function of mind is taken into consideration. 

Afternoon class was handled by Dr Giby ma'am.

 Ma'am taught about Learning process,through an example of a horse. How can we make the horse to drink the water, likewise how can we make learning process beneficial to students. Learning process includes:

•Laws

•Principles of learning

•Transfer of Learning

•Remembering

•Forgetting

•Enrichment in learning

During optional period, we discussed on science day celebration. 

Last hour we moved to seminar Hall and made a list on club members and submit it to principal. Twelve clubs were there. I joined  the AICUF club.One Student from each optional joined these twelve clubs. I enjoyed the day.
