GOAL, AIM, OBJECTIVES........

Day 26: As usual our class begins with a prayer. Giby ma'am took the first hour class. She revised the previous portions by asking questions.The question goes to late comers in the class. All of them answered the question. Then ma'am shared ideas on competencies of a teacher. 

We should know the learner and have a good subject knowledge. These two competencies were discussed at the class. It was an interesting class. 

Then Maya ma'am taught us about Features and Forms of Naturalism. The points discussed were:

•Senses are the gateways of knowledge. 

•Individual is significant. 

•Universe is governed by laws of nature. 

Forms of Naturalism

Physical Naturalism

•Human life is governed by physical laws and forces. 

Biological Naturalism

•Based on theory of evolution. 

Mechanical Naturalism

•Universe as a machine. 

•Man as a machine. 

•Behaviour as stimulus response. 

•No creative force. 

After Maya ma'am class, we went for optional period. Ma'am taught us goal, aim and objectives. 

Aim

•Directional, broad and general. 

•Distant goals. 

•All-round development of an individual. 

•Achieved through planning. 

Objectives

•Are the endpoint of possible achievement

•Short term goal. 

•Specific

•Objectives come from aim, whose attainments are steps towards the achievement of educational aim. 

Afternoon session, talent hunt program by social science and Malayalam department were conducted. The program gave refreshment to me. I enjoyed it well.
