PHONETICS LAB INAUGURATION....

Day 27: The day begins with a prayer. Before the first period, principle had  inaugurated phonetics Lab of English Department. 

We were familiar with two words and pronounced it well.

After the inauguration, Dr Ancy ma'am took the class. Ma'am discussed about the Kohleberg's stages of moral development.

 It includes:

Level 1- preconventional morality

Stage 1: punishment- Obedience orientation

Stage 2: Instrumental Relativist orientation

Level 2- Conventional morality

Stage 3: Good boy Nice girl orientation

Stage 4: Law and order orientation

Level 3- post conventional morality

Stage 5: Social contract orientation

Stage 6: Universal ethical principle orientation. 

Ma'am shared these three levels of moral development by quoting examples. 

Then Dr Joju sir gave us a general idea on educational technology, it's meaning, approaches and four revolutions in education. 

Educational technology is a system of 5 M's. Men, Method, Material, Media and Machine. 

Four revolution in education includes:

•Education shifts from parents to teachers and from home to school. 

•Development of writing symbols

•Printing press

•ICT in education

•Strategies and tactiles of teaching

•Mechanization using machine

•Technology as a mediator

Approaches of Educational Technology

•Software approach

•Hardware approach

•System approach

•By sharing a quote sir concluded the session. 

After Joju sir class, Dr Maya ma'am taught about :Aim of Education in  Naturalism, Curriculum of Naturalism, Methods of Teaching.

•Struggle for existence and survival of the fittest.

•Based on needs and interest

Methods of Teaching in Naturalism

At afternoon, we went for optional class. We discussed about the scientist Watson and Francis Crick. 

Both of the scientists play role in discovering double helical structure. Their invention were published in a short paper in the scientific journal 'Nature'. 

Then  Giby ma'am took the class. Ma'am discussed about 'Teacher factors of psychology'.

•How to retain the memory of the student. 

•Understanding the learner

•How to manage classroom

•How to developemotional and multiple intelligence. 

These were the key facts discussed at the class. 

Then Joju sir came with a class on medias and it was an interesting class.
