Day 46: The day began with a prayer. First two hours were taken by Ancy ma'am. 

Ma'am introduced new western thinker- Maria Montessori. 

•Montessori discovered the training of senses and muscles. 

•She wrote a book named " Discovery Of The Child."

•Didactic apparatus was also developed by Montessori. 

•Montessori method is a child centered alternative educational system. 

Principles of Montessori System of Education

•Principle of individual development.

•Principle of freedom. 

•Principle of self education or auto education. 

•Principle of sense training. 

•Principle of muscular training. 

Montessori method

•Exercise of practical life. 

•Exercise in sensory training. 

•Didactic exercise. 

Merits of Montessori method

•A scientific concept of educational procedure. 

•Reverence for small children. 

•Individual tracking. 

•Freedom for children. 

•Sense training. 

Demerits of Montessori Method

•Neglect the training of imagination. 

•Lack of trained teachers. 

•Very expensive. 

These points were discussed at the class. 

Then Maya ma'am discussed about the topic 'Culture'. 

•Culture means complex whole that consists of every thing we think, do and have as a member of society. 

•Two types of culture are material and non material culture. 

•Material culture consists of concrete and tangible objects. 

•Non material culture of intangible and abstract objects. 

These points were discussed by Maya ma'am in detail. 

Then Joju sir came and gave us tips regarding good black writing.

Tips for effective blackboard writing

•Plan your writing. 

•Keep it clean. 

•Write important points only. 

•Use multi colour. 

 It was an interesting class. Then afternoon, sir continued the  topic "3D Aids." 

These includes DIAROMA, MODELS, MOCK UPS. 

Audio aids includes radio, gramaphone, tape recorder. 

Activity aids includes museum, planetarium, Nature calendar, field trips. 

Multi media includes image, audio, video, graphic, animation, background music. 

Last session of class was handled by Arts teacher- Lekshmi teacher. She taught us five kaalam sa ree ga ma pa dha nee sa......... It was really a wonderful experience for me. Then ma'am told us to sing the kaalam in groups.

 I enjoyed the day well.
